Hey guys, I have an Aruba Spas tub that is about 7 years old. The tub runs 240v with a 50AMP GFCI outdoors and a 60AMP breaker at the panel. One circulating pump and and a secondary main pump. We recently replaced the Ozonator with an Ultrapure Electronic Ozonator (240v 60HZ) that plugs directly into the LX10 Spa pack. The tub will run fine for days, but during warmer weather the tub has a summer logic mode whereby if the temperature is higher than what it is set for at the panel, it shuts down until the water temperature is back to the designated temperature. When the tub shuts down for this summer mode the breaker trips. Similarily, if I run the tub say at 39 degrees and then dial down to 36, the pumps and heater shut down as they should and then the breaker trips. If I disconnect the new UltraPure Ozonator, I do not run into any tripping problems (left it for the past week and all was good). We have always run ozonators and this is the third one we have had for this tub, but I can't be sure how long the last one was functioning before the bulb quit. I can understand the tub tripping if it was powering up any items and the amp load was too great for the breaker, but what would cause it to trip if things were shutting down? I have contacted the Ozonator company and they have said they will give the new ozonator a once over to make sure it is ok. Not sure if it is an ozonator problem or something else.
