| Breaker Triggered when putting jets on high |
We have a hot tub that came with the house we bought in Nov 2007.
Make: Great Lakes Model: Ontario Year: 2004
Other Info: Max Capacity 240 gal Normal Oper 170 gal Dimensions 87"l x 58" W x 33"H -3 person seating Total jets 18 Filtration System- Automatic 2 cycles per day - Suction- Side Skimming Filtration, GPM Disposable Filter Cartridge Manifold Plumbing Balanced Pressure Distribution Balboa Value Series Digital System 3 button Digital Electronic Control Panel 2.0 HP (3.5 BHP) 2-speed pump 5.5 KW stainless steel heater dual overheat/frees protection circuits Covertible to 110/20amp with optional GFCI cord, and 1.5 HP pump
PROBLEM: We cleaned the hot tub (April) since receiving it in November 2007. The only thing we hadn't changed was the filter. Up until a couple days ago, we could use the jets on low and high power and keep it at a temp of 101-103. We just sat in it the other night and decided to turn the jets on high. After 5 minutes it tripped the breaker. Now every time we turn the jets on high, we trip the breakers.
Any advice as to what to check or what might be doing this?
