GFI trips after purge cycle/smart winter mode ends>Maax Infinity Vesuvius
I have a 1999 MAAX Spa.
Infinity series. Model: Vesuvius LS2
Serial #: 99134893
The spa is hooked up to a 60 amp 240 volt main breaker in the main panel out to a 50 amp 240 volt GFI in a control box with in sight of the spa.
According to the owners manual and the identification plate in the spa it draws: 240 VAC, 60HZ, 32 AMP.
It has been running since October '06 without any problems until 3 days ago.
Now the GFI breaker trips every 2 hours.
It works fine with the heater & circulation pump on or with the 2 main pumps on but when it goes into the Purge Cycle/Smart Winter Mode it trips the GFI when the 1 minute cycle is over.
I even disconnected pump #1 to see if it was a load problem but it still trips the GFI when the Purge Cycle ends.
The GFI was new when installed in October and as I mentioned before it won't trip with the heater/circulation pump on or when the 2 main pumps are on.
