Leisure Bay tripping
So I decided to open my hot tub for the first time this year. It had been drained for the winter(and most of the summer). I filled the tub and then flipped on the GFCI breaker. The display lit up with the current temp as it should. I turned on the jets to circulate the water and the turned on the blower to make sure that worked. Everything was running fine, so I left it running and went to turn the hose off. When I came back the GFCI had tripped. I reset it and got a SN code (which means sensor problem). I switched off the GFCI and took a look at the control panel because I could smell something burning. The flo-thru heater was really hot and I realized that I had forgotten to turn one of the valves connected to it back on. Now when I turn on the GFCI it trips immediately.
Did I fry my heater by not having the valve open to allow water to flow thru? How can i test it?
