Ok, here goes...I bought this spa about a year and a half ago used, to replace a previous small older spa. I purchased it in the winter and did nothing with it until spring. At that time it had many leaks and the control panel seemed to be bad according to service techs. I purchased a HydroQuip HQ9300e spa control. After installation it worked for about 6 months, at that time the air blower seemed to quit blowing, but the heater and pump seemed to work fine. After that it began to start shutting itself down, and I had to disconnect the breaker and restart it each time to get the topside panel to come on. Finally it quit while I was out of town and froze, cracking several pipes again. As soon as we had a warm spell here I immediately drained the unit.
I finally was able to get out this week and start repairing it again. After fixing all of the leaks, I replaced the electrical box on the outside of our home, and all of the fuses in the control panel. Only one looked to be blown the 3 amp slo-blo fuse. I then powered the unit up and immediately heard a pop, the 3 amp slo-blo fuse was blown again. At this time out of 3 amp fuses I looked and saw that the control panel actually had 1 amp fuse printed on it in that spot, but it had a 3 amp from the factory, so I replaced this with a 1 amp and it again immediately blew.
This control is equipped with lights on the outside, warning lights I guess. They seem to light up when there is a problem. The system fuse light and ozone fuse lights are on. Where or what is the system fuse? Any ideas of where to start?
Thank you so much for your time and trouble, Tammy |
