Re: hot springs jetsetter

Hi,

You need to get some more info before people can help.

When you say "cuts off" do you mean that the power breaker is tripping, or that the screen goes blank until you re-set the power.

Any detailed information will help people on the forum get your tub back up and running.

Good luck...

Ed

Re: hot springs jetsetter

thank you.
now it is the breaker in the spa panel that is tripping. i have to cut the power off and on again to restart. when the spa was wired differently it tripped the g.f.i. breaker in my supply box. the power light is flashing after an unsuccessful start. i have eliminated the jet pump and the ozonator from the cause(when disconnected it still trips) it is wired for 230v american.

Re: hot springs jetsetter

Sounds like the circ pump is dying, or the high limit has gone bad.

The flashing red light is an indicator the high limit has tripped, which generally happens when the high-limit goes bad, the circ pump has failed, or the filters are clogged.

Re: hot springs jetsetter

thanks for the help.
it is not the high limit. i put in a new one, no change. before i change the pump i have a question. the heater was changed by the dealer. it is marked "outlet" and "inlet". the high limit and "outlet" is actually where the water comes in from the filter. is that right? are there heaters with the in and out reversed? also could the problem lie in the relay, in the panel, that cuts the thing off?
any assistance is greatly appreciated.............geodav
