problem with teledyne laars eg-175 heater

Greetings,
Thanks in advance to anyone offering assistance!
I have a teledyne laars eg-175 heater for my jacuzzi hot tub. The serial number is C8236210. It uses LP gas. I have been out of gas for a few months and just put 150 gallons into a 250 gallon tank. The pilot light lit immediately without any problem. I turned on the pump, then the heater. The heater would not come on. Yes, the pilot light was still on. Water flow is very strong. I have even removed all of the cartridge filters from the Hayward case to insure that wasn't a problem. Again, water flow is very strong. I cleaned all of the electical connections on the gas regulator, on the thermostat, and every where else. My neighbor is good mechanic and he checked all of the swithes/circuits and said there was continuity every where, which he said meant all of the switches were ok.
Ocassionally, while I am sitting there pondering, the heater will begin pumping gas like it should and burn at full speed for about 3 seconds, then go out. I lit each of the individual burners with a flame and could see that there was a trickle of gas coming out, it just isn't enough. Yes, I checked the valve and it is open and gas should be flowing freely. When I manually light each burner, I have tapped around on the pipes and regulator and can see the flames flicker. Sometimes, it makes them go out. Sometimes, it doesn't. Any connection. Additionally, sometimes the pilot light will light immediately and stay on. Sometimes, it will go out and then I have trouble lighting it. I have to wait a while before trying again and then it will usually light.
I truly am at a loss for what else to do. Could there be a problem with the pilot light assembly? Would that cause the gas not to flow properly through the regulator? It appears to be a gas flow problem to me. However, I don't know why.
Thanks again in advance to anyone who has a suggestion. Please let me know if you want more info.

You need to pull every connector inside this thing, and brush them with a wire brush to clean off any dirt and corrosion.

Especially those connectors behind the panel (on/off switch and t-stat). Also remove every connection from the gas valve (the screwed on ones) and do the same thing.

please review again!

Thanks for the advice. Already did that. Used sandpaper instead of a wire brush to insure good contact. Do you think the pilot generator, if too weak, could cause the gas not to flow? Any other suggestions? Thanks again for all comments! <img src=" title="Very Happy" /> Ken

Be sure the connections from the pilot generator are clean.

Monitor the pilot generator voltage under load (connected to the valve - in operation). It needs to remain at least 200 mv. Otherwise, replace the pilot generator.

If that doesn't work then replace the gas valve.
