Can I just turn my heater off for the summer?
Although it's not that hot here yet, when it does heat up outside, getting in a hot tub will be the last thing I want to do. My tub is a mid-90's Hot Springs Highlife-K model wired on 220v. Can I turn off the breaker that runs the heater and leave the water in it? Will this still allow the water to circulate for chemical control? Thanks.

Re: Can I just turn my heater off for the summer?
Your fine to turn off the 30 amp breaker. The circulation pump will still work. Keep in mind that if the spa is not used much the circ pump can slowly raise the temp by friction. In that size spa it shouldn't be a problem, and it only happens when it's not used for a long time. The spa will still probably stay in the mid 90's - at least they do here in Florida.
