Cleaning and re-staining outside wood of my hot tub NEWBIE
Just picked up this 97 Vita Spa Ambiance model. The wood is very faded and has mold at the bottom. I need some advice on how to go about cleaning it up and then what stain i should use and sealer or what. The bottom boards are rotted so i started removing those. I noticed that it the bottom was not completely enclosed a couple plywood boards and foam. The guy i bought it from for 200 had it since it was new and spray foamed the whole inside. What a mess i have been in the process of removing it so i can get to all the lines. What i have done so far is removed all pump equipment, started cutting out spray foam, and i bought some mold remover for wood sprayed it on the outside took some 200 grit sandpaper and went over the outside. Its in the process of drying right now. Here are some pics for a better idea.
Thanks for any help at all, still trying to do my research.
Any info on what i should do with the outside and what i should do with the bottom would be very helpful. The hot tub will be sitting on a concrete slap.
Thanks!
