| Eliminating Ozone |
Hello,
I just picked up an older Cal Spa hot tub to revive. I saved a Balboa Spa Pack that I installed in a previous hot tub that I had to get rid of and re-plumbed the Cal Spa with it.
The Cal Spa was equiped with an ozonator, which was completely rusted out. I decided that I would not purchase a new one at this time due to the limited budget. I closed the gate valve and capped the 1" red line for now.
My question is... Would closing the valve and capping the line affect any of the jets? I am not getting anything out of my floor jets and one of the seats.
Thanks for your help! |

Let me try again " title="Confused" />, I believe the ozonator's tube was t'ed into the 1" line that had the slice/gate? valve, this spa was a basket case. I recieved the hot tub without any componets and my previous spa did not have an ozonator so I may be totally off on what this line is used for.
On a side note, after messing with the spa some more, I was able to get the other jets to work that I was refering to in my previous post. 4 out of the 6 jets that you can turn off or on are frozen and really loose in the jet body, with less pressure that others. Any suggestions?
Thanks
