I hate pressure swicthes
This is all my fault, but still trying to recover from my bonehead moves- this all started when my circuit board's terminals burnt- found out that the manufacturer- Hydrospa- had gone under and the "new" company would not honor the old company's warranty. But I found a guy that would repair the board for much less then a new board. In the process of removing the board- not knowing what I was doing I started to remove the pressure switch as it was in the way of removing the board- I then thought better of it and re-tightened it back down to the approx position. Got the repaired board and installed it. was getting a FL condition on my display. Checked it out and decided probably the switch was in an improper position due to my initial attempt to remove the switch. I disconnected the leads to the switch and pumps kicked on OK and pressure/ flow was good and re-connected the leads and heater kicked on- but when the temp hit the temp setting, course the pumps kicked off and I'd get the FL error again when they attempted to re-start. So decided after reading many many discussions and suggestions that I probably had not tightened the switch back to it's original position. So I put my mighty wrench on it and bam! broke it off. So part of the switch is now in my hand and the remainder is in the heater tube. I know I could remove the tube and get the remaining plastic piece out of the threaded opening- but (as always) looking for an easier method. And plus this is the barksdale switch #36055- plastic- which I now have discovered is discontinued and been replaced by the 3902 I believe. There is barely anything to grab on to of the plastic piece still threaded in the tube. Any ideas how to get it out?

Re: I hate pressure swicthes
Use an "ease-out" (used for removing broken bolts). Piece of cake. By the way, there is NO orientation for the pressure switch. The part that screws in is simply a tube that water pushes up through...it's HOLLOW. It only needs to be tight enough so it doesn't leak.
