PUMPS 3.) 65k Heater Element From the research I did on the Interent this is designed to be an indoor or outdoor unit. Designed in the Early 80's to do double duty as a bath, whirlpool and hot tub. I didn't get a manual with it so if anyone has one and would be willing to photocopy it for me I would greatly apprciate it and will pay for expenses plus small fee for time and effort. I am planning to install this outside as a Hot Tub, Sauna. Will be a project for this summer. I believe it is in working shape and all I need to do is put it in place and hook up the electric and Hot/Cold water, fill it up and it will be ready. This is my first tub, have thought about owning one for years and have yearned to do so. Have used them at friends and on vacation, so am excited to own my own. Update to below post,

Cleaned up the SPA and filled it with water and it has no leaks, just a few pipe drips at fittings which once tightened those went away.

I hooked it up to my Generator which can handle 240VAC upto 150 Amps and powered it up. All the Motors and Pumps work for the Whirpool and SPA and seem quite strong. Switch Functioned Great.

Found the Filter Cover housing had some cracks around two screwed in Brass fittings which I believe were intended for either Pressure readings or maybe where an ION Incector would get attached.

I used a dremel to sand and groove the cracks and then applied some super bond glue and added filler in several layers to the cracks.

Still have it drying and plan to test again this weekend.

Didn't feel the water or pipes warming so not sure of the status of the heater elements, but only let it run for about 30 minutes. So they may now had time to heat up the water very well.

Still need to post pictures need to reduce the resolution as my 6.1 megapixel camera creates a huge file size which won't work to upload.

I got my Pad Dug for this, during the past week and did a layer of small compacted gravel then added a layer of Sand ontop of that. Moved the Jacuzzi into place and she was right on as far as levelness goes. Had a time getting the drain in place which I thought of eliminating,but since I was only 15 feet from the House underground drain system for the spouting. I decided to use it for easy draining of the tub instead of a pump. So did that and since the Garage Circuit Breaker panel was only about 6 ft away from the tub ran a trench to bury the 6 guage cable from the tub to the garage wall and mounted the Quick Disconnect to the wall ran wire through the wall to the other side into the GFCI subpanel which I then connected to the 100 Amp breaker in the Garage Panel. Hooked up the wires and ran into GFCI tripping which was caused by the jacuzzi only wanting the two Feeds and Ground, not the Neutral which from other posts in electrical section here and on internet was a common situation for older tubs, and from what i gathered is caused by the difference in current flow between the ground and the neutral wire which causes the GFCI to trip[ from the imbalance. After filling the tub up with water did my electrcal test all, 6 jets are functional, Bath, Filter and Whirlpool. Seems one is weaker the the others but still putting out a good flow, tested the heater and after 25 Minutes water was at 90 degrees from a beginning tempature of 50 degrees, As I have well water. So High Heat works fine. Put in some pool flush and let it run on low heat and flush overnight. Next day was at 85 degrees and still humming away in flush mode. Drained it, Cleaned up all the gunk from the flush which was surprisingly very low and did a wipe down of the spa. Refilled it and did the PH and Chroline/Brine test. The Chroline was about nill which would be expected with well water and the PH was above 6, so began to treat that and am at that pint now working to get the tub to proper 'use status'. This weekend I am looking forward to taking a full dip in it. have stuck my feet in so far and the warm swirling water is quite relaxing, " title="Razz" /> Wes

Last night was a near perfect test of the Hot Tub, " title="Rolling Eyes" /> It was about 50 degrees with a gentle rain.... " title="Surprised" /> Had the water balanced and had the heat at 95 Degrees. " title="Smile" /> Got in and enjoyed the rain hitting my head and the heat and steam rise from the Tub. Got a little cold and slid down and under for a moment then came back up. Repeated and Enjoyed the Tub for a good 1/2 hour, then went in and slept!
