| Is it good to leave a spa empty (outside) for about a year? |
I was wondering if it is okay to leave your spa/hot tub empty for about a year outdoors. My wife is pregnant and she can no longer use it due to the chemicals in the water (and I won't use it by myself).
I live in Arkansas so it stays pretty warm, even in the winter months. Is there any special treatment to do or just cover it up and leave it (emptying any rain water that gets in it).
I wouldn't mind leaving it full and heated, but it costs us about $20-$30 a month in utilities and chemicals to keep it that way.
Thanks for your time,

Be sure the PH is balanced, and make sure there isn't any sanitizer left before you drain it, and you will be fine. Keep it covered, but vent the cover slightly so you will still have airflow inside the tub.
That's pretty much it.
