Jets don't stay on as long as the manual says

I was given a Le Spa InternationalLS-CALI-2X which was originally purchased in May 0f 1994. It has a Stay-Rite pump and I am not sure on the blower at this point but I don't think they are the cause of my problem.

The manual says that the jets and blower should stay on for 15 minutes after activated but they only stay on for 5 minutes. Ther are no problem codes displayed when the jets or blower shuts off. I was thinking that it could be a flow issue but I started timing it and it is pretty close to 5 minutes everytime. Everything else seems to operate as it is supposed to.

The manual shows two different type of control panels. Mine has two temperature buutons on the right, a display in the middle and three buttons for the light, blower and jets on the left. They are puffy stuyle buttons. Anyway I was just hoping someone was familiar with this brand as I can not find anything on the internet for it.

Thanks, Blaine

can you re-activate the jets right away or will they stay off for a while?

I can reactivate them and they will stay on for another 5 minutes. It's not a real problem just more of a hassle and I was hoping there might be a quick fix. I looked at the circuit board that the control panel plugs into but I did not see anything obvious to try. I was thinking that disconnecting the timer might work but I'm not sure how that would affect other functions....like the filter cycle that runs every 12 hours.

The Timer only controls the filtration cycles and has no control over how long your jets can stay on. The problem is most likely the "Timing Chip" on the PCB no longer measures time correctly....think of it like a broken stop-watch. Unfortunately the only way to fix this problem is to get a whole new circuit board for your system

I kind of figured that. I guess I will look into how much that is and determine just how much of a hassle it really is. Thanks for the input.

Well I drained and refilled the tub one last time so I could add the correct chemicals and now jets work like they should. I guess it was some sort of flow problem but I don't know for sure.
