Just got older spa - was working fine, now is not.. ideas?!
So heres what happened.
Was working fine where I bought it.
Brought home, got a 125V outlet installed and plugged in (had the funky 20amp 3 prong plug so even tho I was told it was 110v I had to get a special outlet)
Lights were illuminated on control box. I did not realize at this time all I had to do was close the access panel (part of wood siding) which had a little plastic post on it which would press the switch and start the motor. It was getting dark but I had the power ready to go and had filled the tub so I tried to start her up. all plugged in I searched for a switch. There was a little rectangular opening beneath the led lights on the control box which appeared to be (and was) a switch. I pressed momentarily and the popping noise (from contactors) kind of scared me so i let go but realizing the jets had started I hit the switch again 'flimflamming' it..
Soooo now all it does when I press the switch is buzz. I took the panel off the control box to see what was going on in there and as I pressed the switch a few times one of the 3 contactors in there broke (spring shot the contacting piece off half of it) so thinking that must be the problem I replaced it to no avail.
All it does now is buzz and the motor wont start. Controls at top dont come on at all (Im imagining cuz the motor needs to be running.)
The GFCI is not tripped and there is an 8 amp breaker in there which appears to be fine but I cant locate a potentially blown fuse.
Any ideas where to proceed from here?!! " title="Neutral" />
