Putting hot tub in mothballs for Summer
Hi folks -
Doubtless this has been written about, but a couple keyword searchwes failed to find anything, so....
We've concluded after several years that our hot tub just doesn't get used during the Summer heat. I am looking for advice on shutting it down for the next 5 months or so in a way that will cause no damage and minimal problems when we put it back in service. Last Summer, despite draining it as best I could, all kinds of black gook festered in the lines. It took several fills and flushes before it seemed fit to use again when restarted. BTW, if it matters, it's a Hot Springs Prodigy model. Lives outdoors.
Thanks.
