Shut Down Procedure ???
An operational inquery:
I have refurbished an older API tub, with a StaRite single speed 220V pump. This unit used to have a gas fired heater at it's previous location, but now has a 5.5KW electric heater installed. I installed a remote bulb thermostat and now need to know if it is OK to shut down the pump at the end of our soak, while the heater is still energized? Not saying turning off the pump and leaving the heater on, just want to clarify if I need to let the element cool down some or if I can shut the jet pump down and the heater down at the same time. Any help or opinions?
