| Used Cal Spa...should I wait until Spring to try it out? |
I recently obtained a 1991 Cal Spa from a neighbor. It is clean, appears sound and he said that it worked well when he last used it 5-years ago. It has been sitting empty, but it was winterized, for the past 5-years. I have found that one Valterra Slicer Valve needs replaced and a few O-rings are also in need of replacement. These are easily replaced. My concern is all the other O-rings, seals, jets, etc... that may be an unknown problem. Should I go through the entire tub and replace every seal, O-ring, and suspicious jet before filling it with water? I should probably wait until Spring if this is the way to go. This is my first Hot Tub and I am not certain as to what to expect with such an old tub.
Your thoughts would be appreciated. |

Filler-up... see where she leaks.
Fastest troubleshooting method known to man.
Just don't try this with a boat.
