hot spot z-341008 new info!

new info :i have rewired all of the burnt wires. i put it all back together filled the tub and low and behold the high speed on the pump will come on! BUT, the tub wont heat. right when it seems the heater/low speed pump will ingage it clicks and that is it. i am pretty sure my wiring is correct(was returned from the shop missing one wire!) so could it be the pressure switch, the contacter, or the thermostat or timer thingy?
thank you so much!!!!

old info:Hello spa gods i pray that you can make my dream of being back in my spa come true
HOT SPOT Z341008
long story; was given an old (how old) hot springs spa with new blower. needed work on controller, paid 400 for new heating :
element made to fit and some bench work (rebuild?) worked great for 6 months then nothing. i took it apart and saw a burnt wire. reattached it and it worked for 6 more months then nothing. wish i had sent it back to the spa place earlier but i didnt. so now i send it back and there is going to be another 400 to rebuild it. i dont have $400. but man, would i love my spa to work again for my house warming party (and for me later.)

short story: i followed the burnt wire to a burnt black box and i would like to replace the box. the wire is the white one that goes from the main power cord into the box then to the gfci outlet then to this first box. the black wire comes here too, after visiting the 15 amp breaker. my questions are
a)why would the white power from the gfci burn up?
b) if i get a new black box will it be fixed or is the problem with the gfci and will keep happening?
c) do i need a new black box?
D) CAN I JUST GET A NEW CONTROLLER AND HOW MUCH, ABOUT?
e) holey moley i really appreciate your help
thanks,
heather

Thank you for your response already! i am posting these photos and i am working on the serial number. heather

Re: need part for control pack and wiring help

"D" We do need a little more info and pics would be great. The main thing we could use is the serial number. This will tell us what model and year you have.

Re: hot spot z-341008 new info!

the tub wont heat. so could it be the pressure switch,

NO

the contacter, or the thermostat or timer thingy?

POSSIBLY

a)why would the white power from the gfci burn up?

Too much amperage running through it (possibly caused by a lose connection).

b) if i get a new black box will it be fixed

Depends what this black box is

c) do i need a new black box?

Depends what this black box is and if it's bad.

If you have additional information, DO NOT change your original post, but add a response.

Re: hot spot z-341008 new info!

yahhooo thanks for your reply!!!
=====
ok so by black box i mean the contacter. specifically the one on the right in the picture.
+++++
in my picture of the inside of my controller on the left top corner there is little blue box that is right above the thermostat. what is that called? i am guessing that it controls the timing of everything. am i right?
=====
also looking at the picture you can that a wire is missing on the blue box(timer?) in the top left of the picture. i installed wire from there down to the relay on the bottom left( also missing a wire). was that correct?
-------
thank you!!!!
