jet brands?

i have a 89 polyesian spa that was given to me. the spa hasnt been used in a few years and i have went and got a new spa pack for it. before i continue with this, i have noticed the jets gaskets are brittle and cracked. my questions are: how many different brands of jets were there in 89 and are there any generic way to take the jets out. i want to either replace the gaskets or at least put a nice coat of silicone on them. if i can get the jets out, how can i test them to make sure they are operable? i hate to remove the foam unless i have to. i know a couple of jets are unreachable from underneath unless i rip out the tub from the frame, which i really want to avoid. i have seen some out now that all it takes is to turn them counterclockwise? and they will pop out.

You don't really remove these things to do anything to them -

You take a sawzall and just go to town, and replumb the entire tub. It's not worth the trouble to try to disassemble anything - most likely you won't be able to.

I mean, we're talking about going any further than the jet inserts.

You can post a photo of one of these inserts it may be possible to match them up with current production parts.

i wouldnt mind replumbing everything but i hate to remove all that foam just to get to them. then the cost of refoaming them back. im trying to keep this as low cost as necessary.

I never refoam... just keep a decent insulated shell around it and you'll be fine.
