1995 Sundance Montego Leak Question

I have a small leak on my 1995 (I think thats the year +/- 1 year) spa. The leak is located at the "T" coming from the filter to the pump. The T is composed of a line coming from the filter, a line coming from the bottom of the spa, and a line going to the pump. I think the flex piping from the filter is 2" going into the T and the flex piping to the pump is 2" going out of the T. The leak is at the approx 3/4" line going into the T from the suction at the bottom of the spa. This 3/4" line is connected to the 2" size T, but I'm not exactly sure how. Is it connected by a 2" cap that has a 3/4" pipe stub coming off of it to slide the 3/4" flex pipe over it? If that is the case, the leak is coming from where the 3/4" flex pipe goes over the pipe stub. Its not a huge leak, but its enough to lower the water level about an inch a day. Can I use an epoxy to fix this? If not, would I have to completely cut out the T? I ask this because if I cut it out, I don't think there is enough flex piping to reconnect and I'll have to replace that to. Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Best to replace the TEE. You'll need a piece of 2" flex about a foot long, a new 2" TEE, a 2" coupling to help with extending or replacing the pipe which leaves with the old TEE. The 3/4" pipe is attached to the TEE with a reducing bushing-2"x3/4". In some cases you'll need a little 3/4" pipe and a 3/4" coupling to extend or replace the amount you cut out with the TEE.

If it's cold where you live, winterize the spa prior to repairing. Drain it, shop-vac/ wetdry vacuum every jet and orifice in the spa. Turn on blower/ air pump and suck out more water. Backfill everywhere with non-toxic antifreeze. Keep water/ rain from geting into the vessel(shell). No bottom drains on your spa.

Good luck. Hope that helped.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I'll get to the repair soon.
