My tub is leaking in the back by the moto massage jet. The water appears to becoming out of the bottom of the skirting. Maybe a gallon or two per day. Is this an easy fix or do I have to tear off the skirting and dig out the foam to find the leak. My thought was maybe there is an o ring or something behind the moto massge panel the just may need to be replace. Any thoughts on how to repair this? Is there a common problem in this area that may be an easy fix?

Yes, you would have to pull the two slats off the back which are directly behind the moto.

Behind those there is usually a small (8"X8" or so) piece of plywood that is embedded in the foam. Rip that out and behind it there is a small bleedline that connects to a nipple at the back wall of the moto-massage area. It may be broken right off or it may still be attached but leaking.

If it's not already, break off the hose/nipple.

Drill out the hole with a 19/64" drill bit. Buy a moto-nipple replacement from a hotspring dealer. Use pVC glue to glue it in and re-attach the old line to it. You will need a short piece of 1/4" vinyl hose and a coupler to make it long enough to reach.

what is the O ring on the inside of the Moto Massage box on that small line for? I noticed it was slid up the hose a bit. Could this cause the leak?

That won't cause the leak, that O'ring is just on there as a "clamp" to keep it on the air fitting. It doesn't always stay on there though. If you look inside the moto-massage "cavity" from inside the tub, there is a small hole on the back middle area (a little of to the right). That is the fitting that will be leaking from the other side.

I found it. The nipple was broke off just like you said. I went to my local dealer for the parts and they had none. They said they don't fix that line anymore only cap it off and put a screw with a rubber washer thru the hole, so that is what I did and it fixed the problem. Thanks for all the input.
