| 2003 Hot Springs Landmark Motomassage No Flow |
My motomassage jet has nearly no flow. The hot spring rep is giving me bad information. They tell me that the control valve only only turns on the air to the mottomasage which does not make sense because all other control valvle knobs regulate the water flow. Does anyone have a plumbing diagram or know how I can get one? All other jets flowing fine, even pump1 that drives motomassage. I'm thiinking there may be a screen clogged in the plumbing? It does the same without filters.
Appriciate any guidance, Glade " title="Smile" /> |

Re: 2003 Hot Springs Landmark Motomassage No Flow
Moto-massages go bad over time. If it is the original it is most likely shot. The inner rubber sleeve shrinks up and it doesn't allow the "vertebrae" to bend properly. |

Re: 2003 Hot Springs Landmark Motomassage No Flow
Hi Dan, thanks, but I have nearly no flow. Are you saying the tubing is restricted? If I unscrew it from the mount fitting, it might flow? Interesting, Is hot springs the only source of replacement parts? |

Re: 2003 Hot Springs Landmark Motomassage No Flow
Well, 98% of the time the moto-massage itself is bad. You may not have a lot of flow from it because it may be broken off or the inner sleeve may be split and water is escaping out elsewhere. You can take it out and hold it vertically. If there is any sort of bend in the moto-massage and it doesn't hang straight down then it is bad.
Although it is rare, the air control valve can also go bad. You need to push down hard on the valve and turn it, it can then be pulled out. These can be tough to get out and back in though if you haven't done it before. It is tough to explain, but the valve stem has a 'window' in it. You can open and close the valve stem when it is in your hand, and you should see the window open and close. When they are bad you will see an inner rubber sleeve sliding in front of the 'window'. The inner sleeve is supposed to be stationary, but it may break free and close off the window...which means it is not allowing air to the moto-massage. |
