| Cal Spa Pneumatic Series Leaking while Filling |
Greetings.
I have a Cal Spa (installed in August 03) I acquired through a home purchase. I've had a year of successful, leak-free use, but emptied the spa for cleaning this past September. I tried to refill it today. I placed the garden hose in the skimmer/filter canister and I heard excessive leaking around the breaker box located under the tub. We've had typical November weather... above freezing most of the month and a couple days well below freezing. I'm guessing I may have a freeze-induced crack in some PVC piping or some other problem, but without having a plumber or an electrician handy, I turn to you... the experienced.
I don't want to put a lot of money into something I can potentially fix myself (with your guidance). I appreaciate any suggestions and/or advice you can provide that will help me resolve this problem. |

leaks caused by freezing can be as simple as a single crack or as complex as multiple leaks. The only way to know is to track down and repair each instance of leakage. A lot of times you will need to carve out a good amount of foam insulation in the process. The hardest part is by far locating, then getting to the leak.
good luck |

Removing Foam
Did you figure out an easy way to get rid of the foam? I have a CAT 200 and need to fix a leak.
Thanks |
