Hi gang, my first post. I have a mid 90's Hot springs Classic spa that has a leak where the motor and heater are located (I call it the engine bay). The water tends to gather in the section where the pump is located. The heater is to right which is a touch higher in elevation. It looks like it could be the black flex housing that is attached to the pump (3 inch in diameter) or maybe just to the right of that is a plastic white 2-3/8 approx. tubing that comes out of the bottom and goes up then elbows to the right. Do these spas have a typical leak in this area and where could it be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is this worth having someone that knows what they are doing come out and look at it? Yes, it is worth having a capable hotspring tech come out, but you're capable of looking for the same things they will. Here's what we do. Do you see there's 2-4 screws above the hinge of the equip. door on the left and right? Remove those and the whole door and upper hinged part pulls down to open up the whole compartment. Shop vac and towel dry the floor. Use a flash light and watch were the water comes from. Likely spots---- light lens.....the 1/2" or 3/4" pipe connections at the back of the heater....loosen the band that holds the heater to the floor and add some shims under the heater so you can see if it's leaking.....Jet pump shaft seal....big oring under s.s band on jet pump....be a detective, you'll find it, it's not rocket science.
