| Need 1998 Jetsetter plumbing diagram |
Hi I am trying to chase a leak for my newly aquired 1998 jetsetter spa and need a plumbing diagram if anyone has one. I think one of the air tubes is backfilling with water and leaking when the jets are off. Any help welcome. Thanks. |

Re: Need 1998 Jetsetter plumbing diagram
Let's see if we can troubleshoot on here.
Does the spa have ozone? Do you see dripping anywhere? Check the light lens from the equipment area. Check those air check valves - they are up high in the equipment area - those check valves can be replaced.
Let us know. |

Re: Need 1998 Jetsetter plumbing diagram
Well I got the tub after it sat for a while, I replaced the heater and disconnected the ozonater and t fittng and replaced some hose with new ones. When the tub fills up it starts to leak from a screw hole in the pump compartment. When the jets are running it doesn't leak at all. I let it run for over half an hour and no leaks. One other tech guy said maybe the air lines are back filing and leaking from underneath. I put the tub on it's side and dug out some foam from the drain area looking for the leak. I just can't identify what hoses or tubes do what. It only leaks when the jets are off and it's a pretty good leak. Any help is appreciated I will check back. |

Re: Need 1998 Jetsetter plumbing diagram
If it's coming up from the floor of the equipment area I am still leaning toward a leaking light lens. It will leak behind the plastic covering the equipment area and go into the foam, it then can come up from the floor. Reach in the equipment area and feel around the bottom edge of the light lens. If this is the problem it is pretty easy to fix.
Can you describe the hole the water is coming from?
Do you see any drips when the jets are off? Or do you only see water coming up from the floor?
Try unscrewing the circulation pump and lift it above the floor to see if it might be dripping.
Did you check the air inlet hoses in the top deck of the equipment area? They have check valves on the end and if fail can leak slightly. |

Re: Need 1998 Jetsetter plumbing diagram
I dont think it's the lens, it doesn't leak a drop when things are running. It would seem to me if the lens was leaking it would leak all the time. It is wet near the lens but the water comes into the compartment through a screw hole that held down the old heater just near the lens. It's just a path for the water to run through. The circ pump is dry as is the jet pump. The heater and all connections inside the compartment are all dry. And like I said the wierd thing is that it only leaks when the jets are off. I do think that the old heater had a crack due to a possible freeze, the tub was drained but a small amount of water was still in the heater, so that maybe there is a hose underneath that has a small crack as well.I appreciate the help. I wish they made digging out the foam easier! |
