Removing impeller from wet end
I have removed the screws and cover from the wet end of my Waterway Hi Flow wet end. The impeller has a built in acorn nut cast as part of the impeller. I do know that I need to use a large screwdrive on the motor end to keep it from turning but what I need to know is the impeller a regular or reverse thread. ie. righty tighty or lefty loosey or vise versa. Also any techniques to getting impeller loose it seems too tight in both dirrections. How do I break it loose?
Thanks for any info.
Mark

Re: Removing impeller from wet end
I'm not positive on that pump but most I've run into are normal right hand thread.

Re: Removing impeller from wet end
I use a rubber strap wrench to break mine loose and IIRC they are reverse threads on my D1 motors.

Thanks guys,
I was able to put a socket on my impact screwdriver and break it loose with out breaking it. I was a right handed thread.
