| Small leak needs plumbing diagram |
I have a 1995 Hotsprings Highlife and have a small leak that I'm working on. I've isolated it and The leak seems to be in the heating system, but it is not coming from the heater itself. There is a small (1/4" hose that comes out of the end (the compartment end) of the heater and immediately goes down under the equipment compartment. The same size hose also comes out of the opposite end of the compartment and attaches to the pump. Does anyone know where the hose out of the heater runs to? Is it the same hose that runs into the main pump? Hotsprings said they would email me a diagram, but still waiting on that one. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Keith |

Re: Small leak needs plumbing diagram
It is not leaking from that hose. When there is a leak in a plumbing line or the shell water adsorbs into the foam and leaks out of the lowest point that it can exit, which is the bottom of the filter compartment. I would look for leaks around the light lens (inside the motor compartment) or small cracks in the shell around the light lens or in the step on the inside of the shell. The small cracks will look like 'hairs' on the shell but you can feel them with your fingernail.
If it is the light lens then there is a replacement lens that retro-fits or if it is a crack in the shell then there is a shell repair kit that can be purchased. |
