cal spa utopia not draining
i am new to this forum and dont know if this has been posted before. sorry if it has. but i need to know how to drain a cal spa utopia tub. i have removed the front cover, and i see a hose going to a fitting in the lower left front of the tub. i removed the cap no water came out. is there something else that needs to be done to get it to drain????

Most spas I run into don't drain very well. I find it drains faster if I just put a hose over the side. Put you hose over the side and turn on the water, once it flows turn it off and unhook it from the spigot, this will create the suction. My pool vacuum hose will reach my spa, so I will out the vacuum hose in and turn on the pool pump. It drains real fast that way. Some of our customers will just buy a small sump pump.
