| sovereign leak |
is that a king or queen peeing?
Chasing down a slow leak. I know i have a slight leak from my trumpet style no fault heater at one of the plastic ends, but there is leak evidence pretty far from there at the base of the long side in the middle, opposite the lounge.
My slab is farly level. I have read up on the common moto massage leak.
I was told by swine that some heaters had an issue which required an epoxy fix. Was that due to leakage? |

No, but the trumpet heater-bodies had a tendancy to crack along the seam, rwhere the addes stress of the thermistors screwing into the heater body wasa greatest. Tightening the thermistors only makes the leak worse! Just need a new heaterbody, or some people have luck draining the spa, and using silicone on both sides of the thermistor O-ring, and re-tightening. If you replace the heaterbody, re-use the heating element, relatively inexpensive.
220v No-Fault 6000 heaters made between 1998 and 2000 require cloth fiberglass sleeves be placed on the endcaps of the heaters, no epoxy, takes about 2 miutes. |
