| 2006 Cal-spa Jet 3 Problem |
I have a newer 2006 6 person Cal Spa with control panel 9800 series. Jet 3 is controled by a seperate control panel from within the spa. When you turn it on all that you hear is a buzz and then it quits after a few seconds. When Cal Spa installed this, they said I needed a clearance of 18" from the wall and the buzzing noise sounds like it is coming from the side of the spa. I pulled the front panel off thinking maybe it froze up as we have had some very cold weather, but I cannot tell which pump is pump 3. All the lines going into and exiting the pumps appear to be warm, so I doubt it's frozen. I checked all the valves and they appear to be open.
I thought I would check here before I call Cal Spa.
Thanks for any advice |

Thought I would update everyone.
Calspa came out and sure enough, the water in the pump was frozen. They setup a portable heater and all was good within a couple hours. I guess the -24 degrees for a week straight did not help the situation.
This was our second service call, and I have to tell you, Cal-spa's service after the sale has been awesome. Both times they came out within 1 day of calling them.
Thanks Cal-Spa
