| Manora shutting down after 20 seconds |
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a 94 Tiger River Manora. 115 volt. The spa heats up fine and the circulator pump works fine, however when I turn the main jet on the spa will shut down after 20 seconds. If I have the main pump just come out of the one jet everyone thing works fine, but if I have the water come out of all jets it will only stay on for about 20 seconds. There is good pressure, but only until the pump shuts down. If I turn the thermostat dial down and back up it will reset. I jumped the flow switch controls on the main board and the pump will run constantly. I put a ohm meter to the flow control harness. It ohm's out when the main pump is on to all of the jets, but shows.9 when just the circulator pump or just the one jet is running. I made sure that the tub had enough water. I cleaned out of the vents and I ran it without the filter with the same issue.
I had a few leaks when I got the tub and I had to open the wet end of the pump. It turns out that I broke the impeller and didn't realize that it wasn't supposed to be two seperate pieces. Is my problem because of the impeller or do I also need to buy a new flow switch? The tub had the same symptoms before I broke the impeller.
Thanks for your time. |

Re: Manora shutting down after 20 seconds
Either a flow switch, not enough flow from the (small, 24 hour) circ pump, or a really clogged filter. |

Re: Manora shutting down after 20 seconds
Thanks,
I replaced the flow switch to no avail. I removed the filter and it still shut off after 20 seconds. It only shuts down when the main pump is running and set to run to all of the jets, so I don't think that it is the circulator pump. I'm still stumped. |

Re: Manora shutting down after 20 seconds
Try a new 3/4" check valve on the circ pump (intake) plumbing. It might have failed, and might make the the water flow funky when the pump is activated. |
