| Water pump leak |
I'm hoping someone can advise me about a leak. We moved into a house earlier this year that has a tub with a Hydra Baths Series 6000 HyFlo SD Pump. There is a hole on the wet end, labelled INLET (pictured below). It looks like it is designed to fit a 1/8 inch tube. Water pours out of this hole when the tub is full and the pump is not running. It doesn't leak when the pump is running as air seems to be sucked in through it. Blocking the hole increases the strength of the jets.
I can find no literature explaining the function of this hole and how I can to stop it leaking. None of the local vendors have been able to provide an explanation. Should I plug the hole, or is there some part that I'm supposed to attach to it?
Thanks for any assistance in this matter.
Cheers,

For lack of a better term, it's a 'port'.
Plug it, (preferably from the inside).
Epoxy should work fine. |

Thanks for the info. It will be nice to have the tub working properly.
BTW what is the 'port' typically used for?

Perhaps ozone injection, or a wrap around motor - water heater. |
