1993 Sundance Maxxus - after drain/refill you can hear a switch click when you push the jet button it to cycyle through the pump speeds but the actual pump does not come on.
240V - 12V / 600 panel / Pump1=2hp 2sp 240V / Pump2=1.5hp 1sp 240V Hayward LX
I have seen similar issues in your forum and think it could be a flow problem, air lock or possibly flow switch/high limit. Does the mechinical click I hear rule out any of these? The click sounds like a switch/relay and not coming from the motor.
The display shows the temp, I can turn the light off and on go between economy mode and standard mode and hear something like a relay or switch click through the pump speeds. Also the red system on light is lit on the control box.
Any info appreciated!

Good thing this is a 600 series - boards are cheap.
You need to measure the voltage at the pump connections. It's possible you could've blown a fuse - also possible that your pump(s) decided it was time to die.
The voltage reading will tell you what to look for next. |

Thanks for the info.
I checked voltage at the pump and there was none. I am going to double check that there is flow through the heater - if there is then am I correct in suspecting the pressure sensor or high limit switch?
Thanks,

No voltage at pump means either the pump fuse is blown, or the board is defective.
Don't know what version/etc of what yours is, it would be a good idea to post a couple of photos of your system box (closed, and with the door open) and then go from there. |
