| All jets flow except in one seat |
I just purchased a "pre-owned" jacuzzi (2006 Sundance Pallermo). Every thing on it works perfectly except that all the jets in one of the seats doesn't flow at all. It was working during the pre-sale demo but stopped after it was drained, moved to my house and refilled. Bellow is a more detailed description of the issue:
It has 2 pumps and each one is activated by pressing a switch in the control panel.
When switch # 1 is pressed once, the pump #1 starts and all the jets for the seats in the left side flow.
When switch # 2 is pressed once the pump # 2 starts and all the jets for the seats in the right side flow except the ones for one specific seat that should work, according to the manual.
NOTES: All the jets are widely open
If anyone has a clue, it will be very welcomed
Thank you

Re: All jets flow except in one seat
What happens when you close all the jets that are working and open the ones that are not? |

Re: All jets flow except in one seat
If I close all the jets the pump still runs, but the water doesn't flow except for 02 smaller jets that cannot be closed and stay open all the time.
When filling up the spa is it ok to just drop a hose inside and fill it or it must be done through the "skimmer" ?
The spa looks like new, although it is a 2006 model it was never used. Everything looks perfecty so my guess is that there is air or something like that. The thing is that this is my first jacuzy and I don't have any experience yet. |

Re: All jets flow except in one seat
Thought about this a bit more and I wonder if you don't have some object -- debris or part of a seal or gasket -- lodged in the supply plumbing to those jets. If so you will have to dislodge it by reversing the flow thru the piping. You will need to remove the pumps with the tub full then open the pump outlet valve for the affected pump to allow the water to flow back out the pressure connection for the pump. A shop vac may also be used when the tub is empty to suck air back thru the lines and hopefully dislodge whatever is blocking flow. I don't think air is the problem because it should be easily forced out by the flow from the pump. Hope this helps. |
