Cal Spa Journey CS5000 drained and refilled, now no heat
This spring I drained my Cal Spa Journey CS5000 hot tub. I purchased the unit new 5 years ago and have had no problems until now. This is the first time I have left it drained for an extended period.
Upon refilling it last week it will not heat. The temp has risen from 50 to 67 but will go no higher. I believe that is from the pump temp not the heater. The heater indicator light on the control panel has not come on. I have left the tub on for 24 hour spells and the pump runs continuously but no heat.
I have checked and each wire to the heating element is showing 110 volts on my voltmeter. When disconnected there is continuity across the heating element. The flow pressure switch has been checked and is working.
