| Please Help - Leisure Bay Spa |
I have a...
2002-03 Leisure Bay Spa Model: G2 Two Pump System
I've have relocated my spa into my lanai and it was sitting outside for a few months empty.
I filled it today and started it up. Other than a few small fixable leaks, it runs, heats, etc.
My issue is that the second pump runs, but doesn't push water. There is no squealing or anything coming from the motor and I can actually see the motor turning inside. It sounds like it wants to push water, but doesn't.

I'm a total newbie with spa's and I can really use some help.
Should I be trying to clear air out of the lines? (How do I do that?) Can I prime it? (Again, How?) |

Re: Please Help - Leisure Bay Spa
It looks like a "45 G-2" spa.
They had a habit of "Air Locking" pump #2 (a lot)
You need to loosen, NOT remove the top union (pointing to the back of the spa), and bleed out the air.
As a possible remedy in the future, I recommend putting the hose into the jet to the right of the filter area, with the lounger diverter (1" in the center position, during the refill.
I know this sounds goofy, but the circuit that feeds the valve to the right, is off of the pump that air locks.
Hey it's worth a shot anyway " title="Very Happy" /> |
