| newbie with heating woes... |
We bought an older hot tub from a friend who was moving... it's a koko beach (arctic spas) ocean paradise. It worked when he had it, but was drained when we bought it because he knew they were moving. It has a new pump that had never been installed. Got it all hooked up, fixed some leaks and we are just chomping to jump in but......it's been about 30 hours now...the water is not warm enough.
If we crank up the heat, it blows the breaker on the tub. It seems to be ok if we just inch the temp up, but it's only at 80ish degrees.
The heater is working, but obviously not as well as it should be. Wondering if it is the heating element or thermostat? Not sure why it keeps kicking the breaker?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....Thx " title="Razz" /> |

Re: newbie with heating woes...
Wow, that's a golden oldie.
If you can provide some info - a serial number, information about the control system, even a photograph of the controller, we can probably help you out. Send me a PM with details and I'll see what I can come up with. |

Re: newbie with heating woes...
I have heard from Crys. They replaced the element and the breaker, and their Ocean Mirage is now heating properly. |
