| Began Heating, Now Relay Won't Go!!! Plus Weirdness... |
I just replaced a Len Gordon Digital Topside Control on our Catalina spa and began heating the tub. Came back to see how it was doing -- heater element was not heating/heat light on Acura Powerstation was now off. I checked the red wire from the control and it was calling for heat. As I used the control pad to raise and lower the temp, the motor went on and off, but no heat (heater LED on control was lit). So, I jumpered the pressure switch and the high temp limit -- no change. I manually closed the heater relay and the element began heating up/light came on. What else could explain why that circuit was open?
Now, for the kicker. I just went out there and the temp setting no longer affects the pump. It stays on even if I put the temp all of the way down. So, the circulation pump is either on low, or high, but never off!!! (I can shut it off with the timer though) Plus, the control no longer calls for heat.
It looks like two problems, at least.
Thoughts?
Thanks! |
