Just bought a New Leisure Bay Spa and the highest the Temp has reached is 98...in a week! Could I have a bad heater right off the bat?

could very well be the heater. Since your spa is new, I would submit a warranty claim. |

Yeah your spa is heating from the heat generated by the circ pump or the main pump only.
If this thing is a 230v spa, it should get up to temp within 6 hours.
If it's 115v, then expect anywhere between 12-24 hours.
Outside of that, then there's definitely a problem and must be addressed right away with the dealer.
You can cite this thread (print out and deliver) to your dealer, and if they have any questions regarding the diagnosis online can respond directly to my home office toll free number. |
