| Heater Contactor wont activate |
We recently purchased a hot tub. After setting the hot tub, and wiring the electrical, I left it on the heat cycle for 8 hours. The water was approximately 60 degrees prior, and over 95 after. The hot tub was fine for a few days. Later, water was added by my brother, and he may have done something else, but now the hot tub wont heat. Upon further investigation, I believe whatever he may have done did not cause the problems. I have attached a picture of the control box. The contactor in the bottom right controls the heater, and it will not trip. If I press the contactor closed with the pump on, the hot tub heats, but the contactor will not latch under normal operation. The contactor seems good to me, but it has no power at the trip terminals. The red reset button in the top left corner trips if the hot tub is left on the heating stage for a long time, I don't know what it is attached to. I can not find any schematics or user guides for the control unit. The hot tub is a Leisure Life, and the control unit is a Hydro Quip. Tried searching all around the internet for the model numbers of both to no avail. Any suggestions would be awesome. I can also take closer pictures of items if needed. Thanks. |
