| Heater Problem |
I have a Hot springs Spa and the heater is not working, it is about 5 years old. I cleaned the filter and reset the heater. There is a reset on top of the heater which I reset.
Before I purchase and install a new heater is there anything else you would recommend? |

Do you have an ohm meter?
I would be sure the heater is getting power before just throwing a new heater in the there, as well as ohming out the heater to be sure has no continuity.
Could be something as simple as a temperature sensor (thermistor)
As far as that little, puny, tiny little reset button is concerned, if there's a little bit of tape over it, or a little bit of clear plastic over it, remove the tape or plastic, then push on that button for all you're worth. Use the eraser end of a pencil if you have to.
Additionally, check for adequate circulation pump flow. (That's the small, 24 hour "Silentflo 5000") Mnay times, that reset button will trip when there is a dirty filter or circulation pump failure, and is a real pain to reset after the filters have been cleaned, or circulation pump replaced...
Good Luck!
