| Multiple Leaks in an older Sundance Maxxus |
Hi. I'm hoping that someone here can lead my husband and I in the correct direction on locating multiple leaks in our Sundance Maxxus. This is probably an early 1990's model with full foam and foot jets. We have just recently tried the 'fix a leak' stuff you put into your water; and it may have fixed one or two of the smaller leaks; but we still have several others. We anticipate that the footwells could be one of the issues; I had read somewhere about the vertical jets freezing and cracking where the plumbing comes in. There are 2 carbureator looking items on opposing sides of the tub that have to do with the air control - located directly below them on each side (we have no diagrams of the tub/just model #, etc.) we know they both leak out of the top of them when the air circulation is engaged but about where you see the blue plastic (see enclosed pic).
We really like this tub; and want to get it operational - any suggestions?? We are feeling a bit defeated at this point " title="Crying or Very sad" /> but don't want to give up!!
Please help!!
Thanks so much " title="Very Happy" /> |

I have a sundance cameo, and my major leak was at the footwell jet. In fact that post you recall may have been my info on that at one time. About the only way to find the leaks is to start carving out the foam and following the trail. It takes a long time, and you have to be very careful since there are hidden hoses in the foam that you can knick and make matters worse. If you are up for the challenge, it will be worth it. Item of note, if you do find the fitting at the bottom of the foot jets is the culprit, sundance makes a special repair fitting where you just cut the hose flush with the jet and put this fitting on. You can get them direct from dealer. |
