| Replaced Heater element |
Hi Gang
First time poster here. I replaced the heating element in my Coleman Spa. model is 60 Jade. It is about 10 years old. The heater is a long metal cylinder with a pressure switch at one end. I put it back together and all is well except the heater light will only stay on a few seconds when you power it up. I do not see any indication that it is heating. I have not checked it with an ohm meter as of yet. My question here is mainly with the pressure switch. When I took the heating tube off to replace the element I fiddled with the knob on that switch not knowing exactly what it was. How do I determine how to get it set properly? Also can I replace that switch? I assume it comes separate from the cylinder the element is in.

with the spa running, in heat mode, you would rotate that knob counter clockwise until it turns on, then an additional half to 3/4 turn. |

Thanks for the tip.
I did what you said and the light came on. We might be in business. I had to crank that sucker quite a bit, almost all the way up!
I'll check it in the morning to see what the heat is up to.
Thx again! |
