| another "no heat" question |
Another no heat problem. Have searched these boards for 2 days looking for a solution. Have an LA Spa, Oasis model, 220 50amp, with the heater tube thingy. Checked for power while unit is calling for heat at the terminals of the tube. Nothing. checked one lead to tube terminal and other lead to ground terminal, and it trips the gfi. Do I need a new tube heater or what. Help water temp is getting below 50. Ran the tub without filters just in case they were old too, to no avail. Tub was working fine and then suddenly no heat....HELP !! |

In that case, your circuit board is not supplying both sources of ac to the heater. Something is amiss.

If you used an unconventional meter... like a Wiggy - that requires several milliamps of current to provide an indication, then this is normal.
If you're getting an indication that heat is called for on your topside control panel, and you don't have ~230 volts across both terminals of the heater element, then your board is defective. |
