Re: my heater only works on manual
Does the pump come on when you have it on timer? |

Re: my heater only works on manual
It may be that your pressure switch needs to be re-calibrated if running the jets on high can turn on the heater but running on low/filter does not. Or it could be a dozen other things. A few things that would help us narrow it down:
-A picture of the equipment and topside control -Verification that water is moving on pump settings -Verification that the spa can heat up to 104 or so when run manually |

Re: my heater only works on manual
i have had heat past 104 degrees when i ran on manual when timer is running you can open the cover and see water circulating in spa acts like there are two speed settings on pump if i turn on same pump manual there is alot more force coming out of jets.the controls on top of spa are thermastat, pump 1, pump 2, blower, and light in the access there is a control box hercules that has 4 plugs coming out with a gfci, hi temp switch, air lines for pump controls and an inline heater hercules also that is about 15 inches long i sure hope this helps |

Re: my heater only works on manual
If it works with pump 1 on high (manual), but not on low (filter) and you can see the water moving with it on low then the only difference should be the water pressure in which case you need to calibrate the pressure switch (if that's what you have, hence a picture being helpful).
There could be a relay or air switch issue, but you'll need to check the pressure or flow switch first. |

Re: my heater only works on manual
sorry this took so long but I can't get the pictures to post I also scheduled an appointment with a repair person but it will be after the holidays before they can get here so i got really aggravated and tore apart the control box i found a micro switch mounted ontop of the the heater where an acuator of some sort comes up i figure this must be the flow switch when i turn on timer and allow the pump to run it doesn't make this switch i checked switch for continuity and it test fine. This actuator is threaded coming out of the heater ontop of threads look like a little gear is there any adjustment that way and if so which way do you turn it? thanks |

Re: my heater only works on manual
If the continuity is open when the pump is off and closed when the pump is on, it is good. To calibrate it:
-Turn the pump on low -Turn the 'gear' you see clockwise until the switch opens -Turn one quarter turn counter clockwise so the switch closes again
Turning clockwise increases the amount of pressure required to close the switch. |
