Hot Spring - Jetsetter Leak - Retrofit Part?

Greetings... I'm new to this forum but have already found it very useful. I was quoted a lot of money to find and repair a leak in my 1999 Hot Spring Jetsetter. I decided to investigate things on my own and was able to locate the source of my rather large leak. I have a line that comes in to the back of the moto-massage that looks like an air line, or some sort of bleed line. It's 1/4 inch tubing and the nipple has sort of snapped off on one side. I understand their may be a retrofit kit for this. Anyone know the part number or what it's called. I have tried to include a picture along with this post. Thanks in advance for you help! -Raab <img src=" title="Smile" /> jetsetter_leak.jpg

Just drill out the old nipple with a 19/64th inch drill bit, and glue in a new nipple (part number 3059.

Thank you! I ordered the part today... $1... now for getting it installed. The tubing is not very pliable any more. Any tips on getting the clamp off and reconnecting to the old tubing?

I just cut the tubing back and add a coupler and a small section of new hose, otherwise the tension may pull the new nipple out.

If you don't want to do that then heat up the old tubing with a heat gun/hair dryer. It will get a bit more pliable.

Re: Hot Spring - Jetsetter Leak - Retrofit Part?

So I'm still gathering everything I need to get this job done. I'm looking for a coupler for the tubing. I was hoping to find a pvc one but thus far have only been able to find brass. I don't know why I couldn't use a brass one though.

I also thought I would use some Norprene tubing that I have to connect the old line to the new nipple. Any thoughts about that?

Also when gluing this new nipple in, I assume I should glue it through the back of the moto nitche.

Last question, is to refoam... I was thinking of using a lower expanding type of foam. Good idea, bad idea?

Thanks for the help -Rob

Re: Hot Spring - Jetsetter Leak - Retrofit Part?

I wouldn't use brass, it corrodes more easily than the pvc.

I've used vinyl tubing and never had problems, so I wouldn't recommend anything else.

Yes, use PVC glue and a lower expanding foam is fine.

Re: Hot Spring - Jetsetter Leak - Retrofit Part?

Yea that's what I was thinking with the pvc vs brass.

Leak fixed! Back in the water again! <img src=" title="Very Happy" /> Not that hard when you get down to it. Thanks for the help!
