Sagging cover solution.
My wife bought an air mattress to lay out in the sun while in the tub.
I leave the mattress in the spa and slide the cover over the mattress. It works great to keep the cover from sagging into the water. Makes it easy to side the cover to the side without dipping an edge into the water.
My 11'x7' kidney shaped Jacuzzi spa came with the house I just bought. The old cover sagged into the pool. I removed the old foam and galvanized channels from the cover. The channels were cracked and the foam was water logged. So heavy I could barely lift. The word "Waikiki"was written on the foam so I assume that is the style of the tub. Could not find where to purchase new cover.
I replaced the foam with 4 full layers of 1/2" foam board plus one layer on top that was cut small to make a taper. I used a latex caulk to keep the layers together. I did not replace the channels. The span is about 7 feet and it sags into the water. The air mattress support is a simple fix.
