The number one problem we see with people who have installed a hot tub in their deck or built a deck around their hot tub is to make sure you leave room under the deck to work on the tub. If you develop a leak, or if your controls quit working, it will end up costing you an arm and a leg if someone needs to get to the tub for fixing it. You may end up tearing part of your deck out (your expense, not the hot tub company).

We have seen this 3 times in the past month, and noone really understands when they put the hot tub in their deck that it may need to come out at some point. Think long term!

Good tip for sure!! I have friends that put there full spa in the deck and it looks like a nightmare to get in there to do some work!!

When I was building my deck for my spa I wanted something like this but I could only sit the spa 15 inches into the my current deck because of the radio.

Where my access panel is we put a little "hatch" that blends in seamlessly(sp?) with the deck. Works great I actually had to get in there today.

I agree totally. We had a customer sink one in a concrete vault and tile around it up to the edge. Well, a leak appeared and he had to ruin the tile surrounding the spa so we could get the spa out.
