Hot Spring Jetsetter - Light Lens
I need to reseal around the light lens and notice by looking at the lens from the equipment compartment there are three nuts around the perimeter of the lens with some white sealant around the lens. How do you remove the lens and what will be needed to either reseal or replace the lens :" title="Question" />. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Re: Hot Spring Jetsetter - Light Lens
You definitely want to replace the lens. Those nuts are just on plastic threads to hold the lens on while the glue dried at the factory. We pry the edge of the lens with a wood chisel using a rag so we don't scratch the surface. Pry around the edges but not too hard, you dont want to flex the shell much. After it comes off we use a dremel tool with a sander to sand the old glue down smooth. You can also scrape it with the chisel. Clean it off real well and glue the new one on. I recommend the Devcon glue the manufacturer sells. The new lens looks different than the old one. Make sure you tighten the lens (it's 3 pieces) and dry fit the hole before gluing.
Good Luck

Re: Hot Spring Jetsetter - Light Lens
Thank you for the quick response, looking closer at the lens from the equipment compartment the 3 studs are definitely plastic therefore I just assumed that the lens would have to be pried off from inside the spa. I don't believe I have to remove the plastic studs before I proceed to start prying the lens off. If I am incorrect please let me know. Once again Thank You.
